Mission |
The mission of L'Chaim Napa Valley is to advance knowledge and understanding of Jewish culture and Jewish heritage in the Napa Valley. The organization fulfills its mission by realizing and disbursing grant support to organizations that meet the following criteria: |
1. Have tax exempt status under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. |
2. Have their principal office and activities in the Napa Valley |
3. Engage in a specific program, or have as their mission, activities of a Jewish educational, charitable or religious nature |
Who We Are |
L'Chaim Napa Valley is a California Public Corporation. The organization is registered with the state and has filed state and federal applications for tax exempt status. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our Fed Tax ID is # 26-155957. |
L'Chaim Napa Valley was created to ensure the continuation of The Napa Valley L'Chaim Annual Jewish Vintners Celebration and to formalize organization oversight for the purpose of establishing and administering procedures for financial management, grant making, and nonprofit compliance. |
What We Do |
The primary activity of L’Chaim Napa Valley is the planning and presentation of events such as the Jewish Vintners Wine Trail tasting day and the Napa Valley’s Jewish Vinters Celebration which was held the past three years and is scheduled for June, 2010. Each of our charitable events showcases the contributions of Jewish Vintners in the Napa Valley, realizes support for charitable organizations in the Napa Valley and brings members of the Jewish community together in a broad-based philanthropic effort. |
